I'm 17 and I'm looking to make some extra money doing something that I could possibly enjoy and create relationships with important people. The only problem is that I have no golf experience. Is it still possible and how would I go about doing this?

  1. you have to be good with clubs and finding your balls

  2. It really helps to actually know "golf".  A caddy isn't just someone that carrys a bag.

One way to try your hand at it, is volunteer as a caddy for a Duramed FUTURES Tour event.  This is the developmental tour for the LPGA.   You can check out the schedule and see if there just happens to be an event at a course pretty close to you.  Here is the schedule: http://www.duramedfuturestour.com/2008To...

Also be aware, the total purses for these tournaments for this year are from $85,000 to $150,000.  The winner of the first tournament of this year only received about $11,000.

So, be aware, you will most likely be volunteering and will not be paid.  I believe the Duramed FUTURES events are mainly to benefit local charities.

  3. a caddy has not to only carry golf bag but at times he also advises the player at crucial situations.i recommend you do something else, one without any experience will be given less money.Good Luck!!!
