I think in 1 and 2 you have valid suggestions.

   Of course we can't know how you define GREAT, or if you relate that to being known for extreme talent/ability, or just very well known,,, which both might equate to each other.

   I don't think anyone believes that GREAT just happens, albeit PRODIGIES do exist and have. I'll also assume you are young, which allows you more time to develop skills, LIVE and be involved with Music as if it was food and water,

and spend as much time with it as is possible, while still having a life.

   Beyond that, and with no offense meant, GREAT will most definitely be judged by others.
