  1. Becoming a Player Moderator or Forum Moderator for Runescape is more than just reporting players.

Players should show a good attitude to other players.  Answering a player's question on where they are or providing directions on where a bank might be are two ways.  You could also offer guidance through quests if someone is stuck at a certain point.

Having a secure account with recovery questions, a bank PIN, and a hard to guess password (random letters intermixed with numbers) is also a must.  Moderators are given abilities that can be abused fairly quickly if the account is in the wrong hands.  A bonus to show that you have a secure account is that you have never had to recover it before.

You should also be following the rules yourself.  Having little or no blackmarks on your account helps in this instance.

Last but not least, reporting players that break the rules.  But this is more than just reporting players.  The more accurate you are in reporting a player, the better.  For tips on accurate reporting, you can check out the Reporting Academy Forum on the official Runescape Forums.

Patience is the key in becomming a Player or Forum Moderator.  For some players, it could take as little as six months, but for others, it could take over 2 years.

  3. Basically you report runescape players who are abusing the rules.

The more miss-uesrs you report, the better chance you have at being a runescape mod.
