How do I become a moderator for my group as I am on the internet a lot of the time. The group I am signed up to seems to take a long time to accept messages and I would like to help speed things up.

  1. The owner or the privileged moderator can only change a member to a moderator. Contact the owner: GROUPNAME-owner@yahoogroups.com

  2. You will have to contact the owner/administrator of the group and express interest in moderating it.  They are the only ones that would be able to set you up to allow you to moderate.

  3. only an owner can appoint a moderator- a lot of owners contact someone if they feel they want a moderator- you can offer your services but don't be surprised if they don't take you up on it.
