  1. get a masters degreee and register with airlines to be a pilot. get ur commercial air liscense (CLP) and ur ready to take off ;)

  2. You can certainly become a private pilot 1st.  College will be necessary however if you wish to pursue commercial aviation employment these days.

  3. If you go to an Airline website and look at the requirements, it will say a college education is preferred (not Required). To become a private pilot go to a local airport, pay them money,   and you will fly.

Requirements For a Private Pilot License:

    1. 17 years of age

    2. Be able to read, speak, write and understand the English language

    3. Pass an aeronautical knowledge test

    4. Hold at least a Third Class Medical

    5. Government Photo ID

    6. Have at least 40 hours of flight time which includes:

        a. 20 hours of instruction

        b. 10 hours of solo flight time

          i. 5 hours of which must me solo cross country

ii. One cross country of at least 150nm and 3     stops

    7. 3 Hours of night flying

       a. One cross country of at least 100 nautical miles

       b. 10 takeoffs and 10 full stop landings

    8. Flight Proficiency - Maneuvers

  4. You don't need a college education to become a pilot.

You just need to go to a local airport sporting a sign that says "Learn to fly here".

Normally, they'll give you a "discovery" flight where you get in a small plane and they do the takeoff and landings while you control the airplane in the airport's practice area.

Prices range from around $90-$200 dollars per hour for renting an aircraft, which includes fuel and the instructor fee.

To lower costs, you should invest in some kind of home-study guide, such as a textbook or DVDs from the airport so you can learn without having to rent the aircraft.

Another way is to keep flying as much as possible. If you put delays between flights, you tend to forget things and will end up repeating some lessons.

A college degree is required if you want to make it your career. It's not if you just want it as a hobby.

  5. If you want your pilot’s license for personal use, you want your Private License which you can usually get at a near-by airport a private pilot’s license will usually run around $8000

If you are looking for a career as a pilot that can be done several ways and doesn’t necessarily require a college degree, however some airlines prefer it. You can get a degree in aviation from different universes around the United States. Those are usually full 4 year programs. Another way of becoming a professional pilot is to attend a school that takes you through all of your different ratings relatively quickly. Flight Safety is an example of that; they have an academy in Florida that takes you through all your ratings.

You can also receive training and get the ratings you need to work through many airports. You would need to start with your Private License. After that you will need an instrument rating, commercial license, and then your multi engine rating. Many people who go that route often get their instructor rating to build the necessary time requirements for most aviation jobs.
