How do I become a police officer in NJ, If I live in Indiana?

I want to move back to Jersey abd become a cop there, But I am currently resideing in Indiana how do I become a cop in Jersey?

I will move back, but will I be abel to get the training out here than move back to NJ or do i need to get the training out there in NJ?

  1. Have you attended ILEA (Indiana Law Enforcement Academy)?  If so there may be a way to receive training in NJ regarding their criminal code and procedure without having to attend their full academy.  Try this link: http://www.state.nj.us/lps/dcj/njptc/num...
