How do I become a primary school teacher in Sydney Australia?

I am 17 living in England undertaking A levels I also have GCSEs. I am moving to Sydney in 2009/2010 and hope to begin a career as a primary school teacher. But I am not sure how to go about this, what degree do i need to take? I have heard of TAFE do they do a course? I f you are a teacher or becoming one in Sydney (particulary Western Sydney) I would love to hear from you.
