Question:

How do I become a star?

I always tell my friends and family that I want to be a "star" and they always say, "Go on American Idol." But I don't mean that kind of star! I mean the gaseous, shiny, twinkle-twinkle kind of star that shines in the dawn's early light, and the flag was still there! So can anybody give me a plan to become an actual celestial body?

  1. In order for stars to go through the process of nuclear fusion, they need fuel. Stars are made out of this fuel, and have only a limited amount. These fuels are mostly hydrogen and helium, as well as smaller amounts of carbon, nitrogen, and oxygen. As a star uses up one type of fuel, it must change its size and pressure in order to use another. Sometimes these changes are very subtle, while other times the are literally quite explosive. These changes take place over a course of millions to billions of years.

  2. All you have to do is wait until the sun becomes a red giant and envelopes the inner planets. If you don't have the patients to wait 4.5 billion years, you could do as Pink Floyd once suggested and "Set the Controls for the Heart of the Sun".

  3. You'll have to gain enough weight to undergo nuclear fusion in your core.  It's going to take alot of Doritos.  There aren't nearly enough Doritos at present to make this happen.  However, there is a factory that makes them, and given enough time, you could possibly eat enough.  Before you start, though, you should do the math on how fast you must eat.  For example, let's say that you'll live 100 more years.  The minimum mass is thought to be about 75 Jupiters, which is a total of 142395000000000000000000000000 kg.  So you'll have to eat 1423950000000000000000000000 kg per year, or 3898562628336755646817248 per day, or about 45122252642786523690 kg per second.  And that's assuming you don't have to go to the bathroom.

    Good luck.

  4. you can go to a star and burn in it and you become part of it and people will remember you by "hey do you remember that person who died in that  star?" " yeah that person is a star!" hahaha j/k

  5. Wrong section!

  6. You need to have a very large mass, and a lot of oxygen, hydrogen, nitrogen, and other explosive elements... you also have to have enough matter to go into fusion. but please be at least 30,000 light years away from Earth before you do this... a solar flare from a star forming within 25,000 light years will blow away life on Earth from cosmic radiation. It would also take millions of years for you to begin to form.

  7. By staring at a star or perhaps coming in the path of a shooting star.

  8. you can't be like that but you can just imagine. OR name a star  after your name... on international star registration. it is very over whelming. so you can call yourself a star.

  9. You already were one. It's time to move on.

  10. You need to find yourself a large cloud of interstellar hydrogen and begin rotating. After you've accumulated enough mass, you should hopefully be able to ignite thermonuclear reactions in your bottom.
