How do I become flexible to breakdance?

I want to breakdance but I need to know good stretching techniques so I can start as soon as possible. I am 14 almost turning 15, is that too late too start breakdancing?

  1. dont worry its not too late i started at 16 what will matter especially with bboying is the ammount of work you put in. once a week probably wont cut it especially with powermoves. flexiblity isnt a key thing to be with bboying to but it deffinately helps and gives you more style edge. just do some stretches before practicing or in the mornings and put in a couple hours practice 3 or 4 times a week. good luck


  2. your never too old to learn to break dance

    my advice would be 2 first learn the muscles of the body as you need to be very strong to be a good break dancer also most of the streches you will need you will have learned in P.E. at school already

    i would also suggest to get training on your body muscle right away

    start out by stretching alot.. streching will help loosen up your muscles & become more flexible

    everyday or any time you can, when your board just stretch and dont just do what you can push yourself farther all the time.

  6. Its Never to late to do anything., And all you have to do is strecth everyday and try to stretch further each day and u have to be healthy and in shape. Eat right and stretch

  7. Just practice and brush up on your moves. You can do some basic stretches and practice breakdancing moves at your home easily. There's a lot of videos online that show you exactly how to practice. The first source link is stretches and the second link is breakdancing moves. Good luck!

  8. working out... running and biking..bassically just stretching your muscles will help...no thats not too old...but yeah just try different basic stretches to start with!

  9. By knowing how to stretch properly and then stretching properly every single day, if not a few times everyday. And you need to stretch for at least 30 minutes every time. If you just find a position that you can tell is stretching you, hold that position until it doesn't hurt anymore. You will need to stretch everything for breakdancing.

    no it is not too late to start dancing. people have started way later than you. But I would suggest finding some kind of workout class or a stretch class to get you going.
