You should get her to stay home while you go out. Thats fine..also try to get your kid to do like family bike rides and stuff..maybe she will grow to like it!!

When i was nine i prefered to stay home. Now i am 18 and i am in my last year of high school. i still like to stay home. But i work. I have classmates who are like your daughter

You can try to stuff as a family like bike rides or if you want to go out by yourself leave your daughter with family do not get a baby sitter. Do not force her to do more stuff she might get upset. She will eventully do more little by little. It just takes time. If it takes her unitl she is 18  be ok with that. Keep her socializing! It is not good for a 9 year old to start becoming reclusive. Make sure you action play dates, meets with friends and similar activities with other 9 year olds.

If you don't make changes now she could become very introverted and shy and have a difficult life interacting with anybody.

I agree with the first person, but you can also do your daughter a favor by getting her out too. It's not healthy to stay home all of the time. Home to school then home again. Get her into an activity and use that time to go out for yourself. Or after the activity the two of you and maybe a friend or two of both of you can go out. Then there are times when you should go out by yourself or with adult friends, so find a baby sitter.
