How do I become more relaxed around horses? I am always tense.?

  1. Learn to 'read' them. Read up on horse behaviour. You can tell alot about a horse just by the placement of their ears.

    Don't go out of your comfort level, they are large animals that can hurt people. (but as someone said before, they usually won't unless they have a reason)

    You could try getting some riding lessons on some horses. Most riding stables have very gentle, quiet, forgiving horses.

    Do you have  a reason for being tense? (accident or something perhaps?).


  2. Unless you around them alot, you realy just have tolearn to understand them. What you have to remember is that for the most part horses are not agressive animals unless  they have been a victim of abuse. If you just hang around them alot and just be patient you will have no reason to be tense. They are large but gentle

  3. Just do things that might worry you and get over it...stand behind them!....play with there mouth..pick up there feet..once you do this with a particular horse you will fell better!
