Question:

How do I become really good at hip-hop dancing?

Well I've been dancing for quite awhile, but when I see myself on tape, I am very unhappy by the way I look but people still say I'm "good" but it just doesn't matter. I look stiff I guess, I just look awkward and I don't know how to explain it. When I do the moves, what should I try to focus on, anything that can just explain or help me with tips.

When I dance for a performance, should I just relax my body the whole time so it doesnt look stiff? But if I do that then it will look weak?

I just need advice from pros or very expierenced dancers on what goes through their minds.

Thanks

  1. Practice and get your butt into class, i'll never quite understand why people ask these types of questions in this catagory. Its always gunna be the same answer practice.

  2. Find a really good studio that's big on hip hop. Also just try not to think about the steps as you dance. Just let it come to you. Let it flow a little bit more. When i dance i just feel the music. Hope that helped:)

  3. Practise makes PERFECT!

Try n find a good teacher
