Question:

How do I best display clothing at a swapmeet?

I want to sell a bunch of stuff this weekend at the local swapmeet. I don't ever do this, but a yard sale in my rural area would just not be profitable. The swapmeet spots are about 10'X10'. How can I display clothing without it getting ruined or not visible to people walking by?

(I will have my truck with me. It has a camper shell.)

  1. HI,

I used to sell at flea markets. The best way I found to display clothes is to hang them from hangers a portable steel clothing rack. You can find them at most any department store. If you can't do that, then maybe use a wooden or vinyl folding laundry drying rack. I know it looks so nice having your clothes folded and layered neatly on a table, but believe me, people do not refold and you will be folding them all day to redisplay. Also try to keep sizes together. Good luck!

  2. Get the wooden pole and stand to display the clothes. They will be in plain view for everybody and it's possibly the easiest thing you can to. If you want the clothes to be flat so everybody can see them, you can either buy connectors to hang your clothes the opposite way, or buy clips that will hold them in the direction you want.

Plus, it's very easier to move around and doesn't take up much space for storage later on. Good luck!
