How do I bill a phone call to a different number?

I'm away from my home and I must dial long-distance for a very important phone call. I'm staying with some friends, and don't want the call billed to them. How do I go about having the phone call billed to my home phone instead?

  1. Buy a pre-paid calling card.. it's cheaper than calling collect.  If there is someone at your house, you can call the operator and have them bill your home phone, but someone has to be there to answer the phone and approve that transaction.

    Bottom line - it's best to get a pre-paid calling card.

    Hope this helps.

  2. buy a pre-paid phone card or;

    dial 0 plus the area code plus the number.

    the operator will answer, tell the operator that you want to bill the call to a third party and give her the number. The operator will then verify that the third party billing is valid and complete the call.

    if the operator cannot verify the third party billing, the call will not go thru.

    a prepaid phone card is the cheapest way to place this call.

  3. Call the other person collect.

    Dial  1-800-COLLECT then follow the directions

  4. I don't think  you can.  Just pick up a calling card

  5. Hi,You talk to an operator and have her bill you at the number you give her. Try it you will like it.Good Luck
