How do I block p**n from being opened. ?

my grandchildren live with me and have been opening sites I do not want them to open

Does not matter what computer or what OS.  There is know way to block web sits.  You need to teach your grandchildren that it is morally wrong to look up p**n.  If they don't listen then there is nothing you can do.  If they want it they will get it.

You can buy programs that set up parent control. Also, if you have AOL, AOL supplies parental control too.  If you do, call up AOL help line. They can help you.

Also, you should be cautious of viruses. Make sure you have a virus scanner loaded on your computer.

you can go to google.com and set the preferences for safesearch and stuff like that. and i think theres a safe search for the web browser too

I suggest getting some Parental Software.  http://www.parentalsoftware.org/

That's a good site that reviews a lot of parental software.  That way you can lock out websites that you don't want the kiddos to go to.

Yeah definitely parental controls, but I'll give you one I think you should really try. Sentry Parental Controls allows you to block AND monitor the child's computer. This way if there is a site that you don't want them looking at, but it is not p**n. You can go right ahead and block that program.

To make things even better you can run the program in Stealth Mode which makes sure that the child never knows the program is running. You don't need this feature, but it is nice to have.
