How do I block web sites on my computer?

My son downloaded a virus on my computer while visiting a web site. How do I block certain web sites to prevent this?

I would suggest investing in an antivirus/internet security application. AVG Technologies offers free anitvirus software, but you have to pay for their internet security option.

go to tools, internet options,go to the privacy tab, then u have to type the website in and press block
