  1. With XP or Vista you need to go to system restore via the Start - Control Panel route. It may not clear your virus tho.

Would suggest you run your anti virus first to get rid of it. If you dont have any antivirus software try AVG or SPYBOT - both free and work well.  Just type either into google and youll find the free download site.

    Good luck

  2. start

    all programmes

    accessories

    system tools

    system restore

    choose your date

also for the virus i reccommend avg or nod32

    best free av's going

  3. you can system restore but you have had to had made one before that day you can go to system restore on accessories and system tools. but you need too scan your computer with an anti-virus software I per fer trend micro works good and cheap and to be on the safe side you should have a minimum of two anti virus software like Norton or one of your choosing. at some point there should be a day you can restore though look through the calender it has  to find a good restore point.

  4. First run an anti virus programme.

send virus entries to virus vault & delete them.

    THEN RUN SYSTEM RESTORE.

    GO TO START

    ALL PROGRAMMES,

    ACCESSORIES

    SYSTEM TOOLS,

    SYSTEM RESTORE.

    SELECT DATE AS YOU REQUIRE.

ENURE THERE WAS NO VIRUS TO COMPUTER  ON THAT DAY, & AT THAT RESTORE POINT(SELECTED RESTORE POINT)

CLICK NEXT AND FOLLOW  INSTRUCTIONS ON COMPUTER SCREEN TO RESTORE SYSTEM.

AFTER SYSTEM RESTORE,IF SUCCESSFUL,AGAIN RUN ANIVIRUS SCAN, TO ELIMINATE ANY VIRUS FILE LEFT IN THE BACK-UP FILES.

  5. The virus still has a chance of being there. The best thing you can do is scan with some anti-virus software. A good list of software for all around protection is below:

    -McAfee 12 in 1 Security Center (anti-virus)

or AVG if you want a free program

    -Spyware Doctor with AV (anti-spyware)

or Spybot S&D if you want a free program

    -PC Tools Firewall Plus(free) (firewall)

    -ThreatFire(free) (added virus protection)

-CCleaner(keep computer running pretty good, cleans up history and whatnot)

    -Firefox(safe browser)

*If you still want to reset the computer back a day or two then you are going to need to use System Restore but keep in mind that you will loose anything you added to your computer since that time. If you want to do that follow these instructions:

    1.Click Start.

    2.Point to All Programs.

    3.Point to Accessories.

    4.Point to System Tools.

    5. Click System Restore.

  6. This is NOT the answer. The virus files can still be there. Run a good anti-spyware and anti-virus scan to remove it.

  7. If you have a iMac your saved! Try using the time machine feature!

  8. Your best bet would be to attack the virus with your antivirus software.  If it does not knock it out download a better antivirus program.
