How do I break free from this class clown rep.?

Question

I think that I joke around just a little too much. And that's what I'm famous for. I make people laugh a lot. Most of the time not even on purpose. So through-out the yrs I've gotten this class clown rep. And believe me it's not always a bad thing because I'm a really popular person. And im not like those other people trying to be something they are not. Like I'm just natuarly funny, i cant help it. I'll say something and not mean it to be super funny but then i look up and i got the whole class cracking up. Okay a lot of the time i do mean it but i just can't help it. Like with come-backs, im real quick at those and im just all around funny. But likeI'm usually only like that around my friends idk why though. Like if im in a class where i dont sit by my friends or something im perfectly normal. But i just feel like im a little to crazy i wish i was more laid back. And i try but the funny just comes out like word vomit. So my question to yo is how do i drift away from this rep. You know just tone it down a few notches.??? Thanx

umm..idk. As long as ure not making fun of people which u said ure not, i dont mind. I like funny people. I wish i have a friend like u around here. So i can let go all the pressure against me even for a minute. But dear me, im not. :(
