but since last week when my ten yr old son (also goes to my dentist) broke his permament front tooth I had to find a dentist in my area i live in pa and our dentist is in NJ, now I'm thinking I should have a dentist in case an emergency arises again that is closer to home but I love my NJ dentist he's great how do i tell him?

  1. 1) You don't HAVE to tell him, just go back.

    2) You can tell him you have a new plan and you have to use a new PARTICIPATING dentist to be covered. Just be sure he isn't ALSO participating in whatever plan you say you have.

    3) Tell him the truth... he's just too far to be of practical use. That's not an insult, it's reality.

  2. Of course you need someone closer (especially with an active boy!) So, don't feel bad....get some recomendations, have your records sent over....

Send your old dentist a nice note....but this happens all the time...people move.

    no hard feelings....he will understand.

  3. > Just tell them that it is important to you that if your son has

an emergency about his teeth that you would like to have someone local or just closer to home if he has been a great dentist tell him that your just worried about your sons safety
