How do I bring more members into my Yahoo groups?

Question

I have a few Yahoo groups and I am attempting to make them bigger but everything I have tried has failed to make them grow. I have tried advertising, siggy boxes, and putting links on my blog pages but nothing seems to work. They are popular type groups but for some reason I cannot get them to grow. Two are brand new so they really need help. Any suggestions and help would be appreciated! Thank You!!
