In high school I ran a 1:58 800, a 4:23 mile, and a 16:23 5k. Didn't run for a year, and now I've picked it up again for the last 6 months. With no coach, it's difficult to train myself. I've recently ran a 30:50 8k... but I am consistently unable to bring myself under 6:00 a mile.
any training tips?
