How do I bring my fern back?

I left for vacation for about a week and no one was around to water my fern. It's all withered and dead. Do I just water it back to health or do I have to do something else?

If it is a Boston fern, try putting it in the tub, give it a shower and keep it watered for a while.  You may be lucky.

Soak it good ..if its inside get it out in the shade (total) and mist or lightly water the foliage every few days.the old dead growth may never return to norm but new growth will pop out. as new growth appears cut out old dead stuff.
