How do I browse for yahoo members who have yahoo accounts and profiles?

I have tried using the yahoo member directory to search for friends who are on yahoo and do have a profile, but when I enter the information with regards to their profile/email it states "0" members found. I would like to browse the yahoo members in the state of hawaii and when i use the search as well as the advanced search it comes up with nothing as if no one from hawaii has profiles or email addresses. I would like to browse yahoo to find the email or screen names that I have lost since my computer crashed and would like to retrieve those screen names/profiles.

Mine has been broken forever. Many complain about the same thing. No solution.
