  1. you don't build them.

  2. Build a long box with a hole in top toward the end of the box so it trips when the rabbit goes in the door and the stick is tied to a door that drops down behind him when he hits the stick. Just remember to put some food in the end of the box opposite the end the door is on.. Happy Hunting, this is also SAFE and NON-HARMFUL to the rabbits, just check them often in case you get one.

  3. Steven's description is pretty close.

You build a wood box that is fairly narrow.  At the front should be the opening the rabbit enters the trap through.  The back should have wire stapled to it to make it look like their is an opening at the other end.  Nailed to the top of the box should be a board that sticks several inches up.  On top of that you place a board that acts sort of like a teeter-totter.  On one end of the board, the door that slides down a groove in the front of the trap gets tied to it.  On the other end a stick with a notch in it gets tied.  A hole is drilled into the top back end of the trap for the stick with the notch in it to fit through.  The notch should barel catch on the roof of the trap, holding the door to the front up.  The stick should extend all the way to down almost to the floor of the cage right in the middle of the cage about 3-6" from the back of the trap.  Put the food for the rabbit between the back of the trap and the stick.  It needs to be far enough away from the stick so that the rabbit has to knock the stick off it's notch in order to get to it.  When it does, the door falls down and closes the trap.  You have to keep the trap narrow or the rabbit can get around to the food without dislodging the stick that triggers the trap door to fall.
