How do I bunny hop on a bike?

Hi, I've watched numerous videos, asked friends, but they don't explain well, I already know how to lift the front end up, I just don't know how to lift the back.

  1. You need to lift your front wheel up real hard and then push down on your bars almost simultaneously. That is how you get small hops, larger hops will come with time, trust me. In a month you'll be hopping at least 2 feet.


  2. There are two ways...

    1. Go at a decent speed. Lift up on the bars so the front tire leaves the ground. In the same motion push up on the bars.

    2. Go at a decent speed. Put your body weight over the bars. Point your toes down and pushed against the pedals. Lift up.

  3. You could get pedals with cages or clips, but that is cheating. The only real bunny hop is performed on flat pedals.  Once you get the front tire off the ground pull the back one up by slightly griping the bike with your feet.  After LOTS of practice you'll be able to bring them up simultaneously
