I do not know how to do any of this stuff on a computer so could somebody help me by giving me detailed directions? I really want to know how to transfer my music from itunes onto a CD in case something goes wrong and I lose all my songs. I can just buy a Cd to burn on at a store, right? Like I said I don't have a clue about these things. Thanks!

  1.     Okay here's the deal, if you only have a few songs on your itunes then burning them onto a cd would be the solution for you.You do his by following wha is below.

Create a playlist of roughly 15-18 songs and these will be the tracks on your cd. To create a playlist on itunes you go up to the top lefthand corner of the itunes screen to where it says "file" and click it, a drop down menu should appear. The first option on the drop down menu should be "create new playlist". After clicking that there will be an icon on the left colum of the screen that is hilighted in blue and says "Untitled playlist". You can either leave this as the name or type in your own name for the cd (ex. Ipod backup cd #1). After you finish typing in  the desired name for the playlist go back up to the colum that says "music" and drag and drop the songs you want to burn from the music colum to the playlist colum. Once you have the desired amount of songs go back to the playlist colum. On the bottom right hand corner of the screen there is an icon that says burn disc, after placing a blank cd into the cd drive click this button to start the burning process. The disc should either pop out of the computer or it will say on the screen that the burning process has been completed. You should repeat this process as many times as needed and keep in mind you can only fit about 18 songs on each cd. If you have more songs rather than just a few i would suggest purchasing an external hard drive. You can purchase one at any store really that sells computer products (circut city, best buy etc.) You may even be able to ask someone at the apple store how you would use one of these to transfer your music and they will give you hands on training on how to do it however i would not suggest purchasing one at the apple store because often times things like that will be horribly overpriced at places like that.

I hope i could help you out, Good Luck!
