We recently purchased one of those stand-alone DVD recorders that allows the user to put in several different types of input into it and burn a DVD. Input types include S-video, USB, and composite video (the round red, yellow, and white holes).
It's meant for recording from camcorders and other video devices, but I was wondering whether it could be used to burn video downloaded from LimeWire and YouTube that's sitting as files on my computer. Additionally, I do have a device that lets me connect my computer to a video device (camcorder, DVD player, etc) for importing video and editing it on the computer, but I wasn't sure if it could be used to generate an output video signal from my computer.
I don't really want to go and buy an actual DVD burning drive for my computer, so my basic question was whether or not my stand-alone DVD recorder could be used in place of one. Thanks!
