Illegal for one thing. You could try to get the WEP key to access the internet. If you can crack the WEP key it will let you get past the proxy, and have no restrictions pretty much. You could also try to get into an administrator account and change the settings.

lol, your gonna have to have an administrator profile to unblock the proxy's and if you do have an administrator account go to your network files and unblock what ever needs to unblocked.

The first and foremost reason a proxy server is used in the company is to ensure that malicious activities do not take place. This includes exposure of company confidential documents / applications to the  outside world.

By bypassing proxy you will

1) put your company's security at risk

2) be prone to malicious software attacks

3) be going against the policy of the company - thus becoming liable for getting fired as the proxy server logs all outgoing traffic and IP address and this is monitored regularly by System Adminstrator(s).

In spite of knowing all of the above if you need to bypass the proxy you can use a anonymous proxy server to access certain web-sites but it is NOT possible to run software like Yahoo chat (or any other chat software), Bit-torrent, limewire and other p2p protocols. This is because of the port and protocol restrictions set by the firewall . So in reality, it is not possible to bypass the proxy server completely and have unrestricted access to the net.
