I find plenty of web sites to calculate residential and individual carbon impact and energy use, but what does it take to create,…say 1000 paper cups? Where do I find this type of calculator?

  1. You take exactly one gram of the item you are investigating.  Put that in a petry dish over a bunson burner and then add exactly 3 drops of the Al Gore kool-aide your drinking and the amount of change in the weight of the material is equal to the number of carbon footprints.

  2. Don't get sucked into this carbon footprint nonsense. It's nothing more than a way to tax people even more than they are already in the name of a false environmental crisis.

  3. Easy,

ignorant x stupid + worthless = carbon footprint.

  4. There is a move in Europe to label goods with their carbon footprint.  Believe it or not a potato crisp packet was one of the first (I wonder if Dr Jello has worked out his).  These can only really be worked out by the manufacturer (and audited) or someone with a close knowledge of the manufacturing process.
