I live in Ontario Canada and have been offerred a job at $0.30 per kilometer, and that seems incredibly low! I can't seem to find any articles online that are Canadian that help me find what the rate should be. Is there a forumla to use to calculate 'wear and tear on vehicle', or is there a chart somewhere that I can use in my negotiations to help me prove that this is very low? I know for the US everyone points to the IRS website, but being Canadian, are there tools out there for us?

Need to know ASAP - if someone can help, I would be grateful.

Regards.

  1. it does seem a bit low for Canadian - ~.50/kilometer seems to be the going rate recognized by the CRA
