How do I calculate what size solar system I need to go off grid? I use 53kWh avg daily and peak 85 kWh?

average daily sun exposure is 3 hours, all my heat etc is electric so this is total energy usage to run my home.

You would need a rather large and expensive panel  to produce that much!!

At a guess I would say 5 kw needs a square metre which is going to cost around £10000
