  1. Hi

If they have given you a number which starts with

    03, 04, 06,07,09 then it is a landline number.

If the number is 021, 029,027 then it is a cell phone number.

Just thought you may want to know that because ringing an overseas cell number may be quite expensive. If it is a cell phone you could try sending them a text message.

But basically, dial the international dialling code from the USA (eg 011) and then 64 (which is NZ's code so the phone knows to ring an NZ number) then you 'drop' the first zero of the code.

So, if the number the guys have provided you is 021 123 1234 then dial 01164211231234.

    Good luck.

  2. I would use a telephone for maximum results.

  3. Dial 011 then 64 then the area code and phone number. If the area code they have given you has a zero in front, don't dial the zero.

  4. I call Australia  and New Zealand  to call my aunts and uncle and it only costs me 9 cents a minute.  I use the 10-15-335 number.  Check  the international calls in Yahoo or Google . Watch out for the 10-10-220 or something like that.  I used it  a few years ago and they charged me almost $75.00 for 10 minutes.  I think you may need to sign up but the 10-15-335 but it is  cheap.  After I dial that, then I dial 011-64 then their number.

  5. Dial 011 first...but make sure you get permission from your parents first!!  It's very expensive to call internationally.

  6. I would add to ozmaniac's post that the number could be a cell in which case you do not add the area code. Usually cell numbers start with digit 2 in NZ.
