How do I call a U.S. cellphone that is in Mexico?

My boyfriend is in Mexico and I want to call him. He has a US cellphone. What do I have to dial to do so?

If he can get reception in Mexico, you just dial the number like you usually would if he was here in the states.

If he has an american cell, just dial as you would if he was here.

If you have a mexican cell, dial 011 52 1+ area code + number

mexican non cell: 011-52+ area code+ number

I gather he took his mobile just like it is; in that case, just the dial the number.   If he is in a different time zone, you might want to keep that in mind.. so as not to run up the daytime minutes.
