How do I call an Irish 1850 number from the UK?

Hi, I need to call the bank and their number starts with 1850, i tried 00353 1850 . . . but it's obviously not working. Any ideas?

If it's a bank they should have a seperate number listed on their website for international callers... it's possible that their standard line won't accpet international calls because dialing 003531850 is the correct way from a UK landline, however if dialing on a mobile use +3531850...

You won't be able to call a 1850 number from outside Ireland directly - you'll need to ask the bank for a normal, geographic number.

If you try and dial 00353 1 850... you won't be connected to the 1850 number.  The telephone system will think you're trying to call a phone number in Dublin starting 01 850....
