How do I call on a man without seeming needy?

I'm single and recently I was intimate with a man in my neighborhood. This is not something I normally do for many reasons, but anyway I'm over that part of it. Afterwards, he was was calling and texting me. Then we sort of stopped contact. Yesterday, he contacted me wondering if everything was ok because we hadn't talked. I assured him that everything was fine and I had a lot of things going on in my life at the moment. We chatted a bit but made no future plans. Anyway, I think I might want to see him again next week. How do I approach him?

  1. I would just give him a call or text him. Just say you were wondering how he was doing. Wait for him to respond and then maybe you can ask him if he wants to get together sometime soon since you have not seen each other in a while. I don't think you will sound needy, ecspecially if he was the one that contacted you first to see if you were okay.

  2. I think this clingy/needy thing is very overblown and people end up worrying so much about it that they start to act unnatural and end up killing the attraction they are so desperately trying to create and maintain.

If you haven't talked to him in a while and he's wondering why you haven't called, CALL HIM.  Especially because you're the girl.  It's a little tougher for a guy to do that, but the same rules apply.  Trust me, if he thinks you're clingy because you want to talk to him once a day, then he's not the dating type anyhow.  Clingy/Needy is when you call 3-4 x/day without anything to say, then you start fishing for compliments, then you start pestering him as to where he is, what he's doing....  See the difference?

Call the guy and say hi. :)

  3. Why don't you just call him or text him back and ask him if he has any plans for next week.  If he says he doesn't have plans, ask him if he would like to meet up with you.  Go for it!  Don't be scurred.

Edit: lol,  what happened from there? I think if he just called you right after you asked the question, it might be a hint.  :)
