I have been informed by their automated rebate hotline that I should have gotten $600 from them on June 27 and that I should contact them if I haven't received it by July 25, but it doesn't say how to contact and every number I call is just a recording including my local Seattle IRS office!!

  1. Call the IRS at (800) 829-1954

You do know that even though you received a letter or heard on the automated line that if you owe IRS or and Gov't debt the refund will not be issued to you instead it will be offset to your debt.  You do know that if you have not filed all your tax returns from 2002 thru 2006 you won't receive the rebate until you file all  your returns.

  2. It's very hard to get through right now, because so many people who either don't qualify or aren't scheduled to get theirs yet are  calling and clogging the lines.  Keep trying.  Good luck.

Did you move after you filed?  Government checks aren't necessarily forwarded even if you filed a change of address at your old post office

  3. Call 1 800-829-1040 After it gives you the options.... just hit numbers at random, this works most of the time.

I worked for a tax company and did this many times.

Have your last years return ready.  Hope this helped.
