How do I cancel a paypal payments?

Someone1 sent me a paypal through paypal due to his win on one of my ebay auction. I lost the item in my house but I haven't receive the payment in my account yet since I didn't send paypal the tracking number. How do I cancel the buyer's payment and send him back his money?

if he didn't send you the money then u should tell him not to send it and that u lost the item

but if he sent the money, then send then back again to his account

Check your transaction in paypal, if it shows then press refund to return buyer's money.
