How do I cancel the auto insurance in writing?

You just have to write (or print from the computer) what you want to do on a piece of paper.

For example:

Please cancel insurance policy No. XYZ-123-456 effective as of today, August 15, 2008.

And then sign your name at the bottom, but print your name under your signature to make sure they can read it.

It doesn't need to be anything formal or fancy. It only needs to contain all the information they need to know.
