  1. Prepare a 20 gallon tank with about 4 inches of potting soil or soil/vermiculite mixture.

You can leave Eggs in the tank, but there is a chance fungus can grow... Which could be harmful. If you decide to remove the eggs to incubate them, you will need to prepare an incubation box.  You can use a large plastic sweater box or a plastic shoebox. ( Plastic boxes are good since they can be throughly cleaned and keeps well the moisture.)  Drill a series of small holes into the lid for ventilation.  (Make no more than a dozen holes of about a quarter of an inch in diameter).   Then, set up a bedding in the container of about 2 inches of vermiculite.  Use the heavy grain rather than the fine one.  Moisten the vermiculite evenly.  Make sure it is DAMP and not WET.

Make sure you're careful when you remove the eggs. try to do it with plastic gloves on. ^____^

  2. It would be best for you to go to your local pet store or online and order a book. Most herp books have a pretty big section for breeding in them.

  3. If the eggs were laid in the water, toss them. If not, get a felt-tipped marker and mark the top of each egg. Always keep that mark up. Sanitize a plastic bag. You can use a solution of oxi-clean or one of its competitors. With the left-over solution, sanitize your hands and wet a mat of either sphagnum moss or absorbent cotton. Wring out as much liquid as you can and line the bottom of the bag with the mat. Put the eggs in the bag. Seal the bag and place it where the temperature will remain fairly constant. In most houses, the best place is the top of the refrigerator. Be patient for a couple of months.
