How do I cash a cheque at the bank?

What do I need to bring to the bank in order to cash a cheque? (ID? Account Number? etc..) I have a bank account, however, it's one of those "junior" accounts that I had since 7 years old, now I'm 16. My parents have always done it for me, so would I be able to do it myself, or do I need my parents there with me...

  1. if you have a valid drivers license or anything with picture ID & maybe you social security card, unless they have it to where you can't withdraw unless they're there & yes always have your account number

with you, it just speeds the process up even faster.

  2. If you just take it to the bank the check is drawn off of, and a drivers license and a school id they should cash it. Tell them your under 18 too and they'll wave the fee.
