How do I catch a Latias (in Pokemon Sapphire) without using a Master Ball? ?

I accidentally used my Master Ball on Kyogre, because I completely forgot about the legendaries. Whenever I try to use the move "Mean Look", Latias flee before I could make an attack. Also, Wobuffet doesn't have any attack moves. If you have any other techniques on catching Latias, it would be great :).

raise a golbat/crobat with mean look, also use False Swipe to reduce it's HP to 1 then use a move to make Latias asleep, then use ultra balls. just don't burn it or poison it, cause it will faint if it flees

  I actually caught my Latios / Latias with a net ball, so my master ball is still unused.  

METHODS

a.) Use a Pokemon with a move that negates the ability of Latias to flee, such as 'mean look.'  Crobat seems to work the best, because his speed is high, so you can use mean look. Your Pokemon needs to be faster than Latias though.  You could then weaken Latias to make her easier to catch.

b.) Use a Pokemon with an ability that will prevent fleeing.  This is much easier, for you do not need to be faster than Latias.  An example is Trapinch's 'arena trap' ability.  Weaken Latias so that she'll be easier to catch.

c.) Throw a random ultra ball and hope you catch her.  Lol.

d.) Get another master ball.  Get a friend to trade you one or use some sort of cheat.

e.) Start all over again and don't use the master ball. lol

Mean Look will only work if your Pokemon's Speed stat is higher that Latias'.  Raise your pokemon more to increase it's speed.  Latias' base stat is 110 so you'll have to be pretty fast.  You could try sticking with Wobuffet only repeatedly run into Latias prior to and hit her every time you see her (and put her to sleep).  That may take some time.  I'd recommend catching an Ariados and make it learn Spider Web at level 32 (it does the same thing as Mean Look only you can switch out without Latias fleeing).  It too would have to be faster than Latias for it to work but you could try using a Quick Claw. It is found in Rustboro City.  It will sometimes enable you to do the first move regardless of speed.

don't use a Wobuffet. The pokemon you use mean look with cant be switched out or else latias can flee. Also use a pokemon with False swipe brings its hp down to 1.
