I belong to several hundred groups, and I don't want to have to change every one of them...it will take forever. There should be a way to have addresses changed in all groups a user is a member of, shouldn't there?

  1. To expand on the first answer, if you list the groups in the simple form you'll get 25 groups per page. Now click 'Edit My Groups' and go to the bottom of the list and you'll find 'Set all of the above to:', set it to the address you want and click on 'Save Changes', now comes the awkward part, you now need to click on 'Edit My Groups' again, click on 'Next >' or '2' and repeat the above, and again for a 3rd page, and a 4th etc....

If you don't click on the 'Save Changes' tab after completing each individual page the changes won't take effect on your groups.

  2. well, first of all, is the e-mail address already connected or added to your yahoo account? if so

http://groups.yahoo.com/mygroups   then click edit my groups left side- look for the column Email Address, will have drop down boxes next to each group row- select- click save changes. little numbers are on the bottom to flip the page to the next, seems to me they list 10 groups to a page

as of today, this is the easiest way to do this. I wouldn't want an e-mail address to affect all my groups, my accunt has a few and this would make it more confusing for many JMO
