How do I change my Fire Alarm's Battery? ?

We opened it, but can't find anywhere to put the battery.

How do we do this?

there should be a slot with 2 wires and a cap they fit a 9 volt battery,

Is it a battery powered fire alarm, or is it wired directly to your house?  If it's not working and you can't see anywhere to put a battery, sounds like it needs replacing.

All fire alarms don't come with batteries,  You may have the one that's power by electric. If that 's the case you should get one that take's batteries & powered by electric, that;s the only way to go in order to do any good.
