  1. Start Orb>Control Panel>System>(on left) Advanced System Settings>Computer Name Tab

    Or

Start Orb>Control Panel>System And Information>System>(on left) Advanced System Settings>Computer Name Tab

    Hope this helps!!!

  2. On windows XP click "start", right-click "my computer", choose "properties", then click the "computer name" tab at the top of the window.

  3. Go to System Properties > Click Computer Name

  4. right click on my computer > properties computer name tab > select change and rename it, you'll need to reboot

  5. The previous answers tell you how to change the computers name on a network but I'm assuming from your question you want to change the name that Windows is registered to.  Follow the instructions here carefully: http://www.wikihow.com/Change-the-Regist...

This procedure is also detailed in the Microsoft Knowledge Base, article 310441: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/310441

    =)

[edit] Be very careful not to change anything else in the registry.  If you don't know what you're doing you could seriously mess up your computer so make sure you follow the instructions closely.
