How do I change my margins to 1 inch on Microsoft Word? ?

I was editing my summer reading homework today because school starts tomarrow and I need it by then. My teacher wrote that she wanted the margins to be 1 inch. Will someone tell me how to do that?

  1. go into page setup and set your margins there.


  2. There are two versions of MS Word (2003 & 2007).

    For 2003:  Page set-up> margins and type 1.00 for margins.  There is also a way to adjust margins in print preview.

    For 2007: page layout, then Margins

    If you have 2003 and want to upgrade to 2007 using the office Ultimate suite 2007 you can get it for $60.00.  Office Ultimate is the $600+ retail version as opposed to the tripped down version.  If this interests you. your friends or parents this is available for students only.

    It's called the Ultimate Steal.  It's a Microsoft offer that went for a long time then was discontinued, and recently started again
