I just recently got timewarner cable. Before I had a AT&T with a belkin router so I knew how to change the DMZ but now I don't know how to change it. At first it was at open. Then it went to Moderate now it's at strict. This really makes me mad. On the Belkin router I typed in the main IP Adress and got logged into the router. Now when I type it in I get nothing. When I type in the Gateway I have to put a login which I don't know what it is. I always have problems with our internet itself and with the Xbox. SO HELP ME!!!!!

  1. The problems with the XBox may be caused if the Netgear gateway is not XBox compatible.  Here is a troubleshooter that might help:

As for loginging into the gateway, you would have to look in the manual for your model to get the instructions for logging in, as it is different with different brands. Maybe if you only have a gateway now you need to add a router.  Some ISPs are set to only talk to a certain computers MAC address, this could be a problem too.
