How do I change the e-mail notification sound on the LG Dare?

I have mobile e-mail for the LG Dare and have come to notice that there is no option to change the sound that plays when I have a new e-mail message. I have looked both in the program itself and in the sound options on the settings menu on the phone. Can this option be changed at all, or do I have to settle for the bland "beep"?

Unfortunately you can not change the "beep" sound.  The only thing you can do is turn off all notifications completely.  I found this information and many others at http://www.lg-dare.com specifically at
