How do I change the lamps on my tv (toshiba 65h82)? P.S. where can i purchase lamps..thank you.?

another ps...i still have picture but it is black and white(which is why i thought it might be lamps)

  1. u can purchase the lamps from the tv manafacturer. it costs about $150


  2. That TV does not have lamps it has CRTs red green blue and that is a major job to do. If you don't have a picture or the picture is warped it is not the CRTs.

  3. Grumpy is absolutly correct--No lamp in this set.

    If its dead most commonly the convergence amp IC's are bad because of a bad connection on jumper wire supplying the -17VDC to the IC's.  They fail then blow the pico fuses taking out the vertical circuit therefore the set will not fire up.  Expect $250-$375 for the repair.

    There is a chance the HV regulator is bad in which case the repair MIGHT be slightly lower
