How do I change the message alert for texts on a blackberry 8110?

For voicemail alerts too if you know.

Also for some reason I get calls and the ring tone is not the same standard tone I set for all calls...I know I can go in and change each one but then if I change the standard tone for all calls again it won't change those because its like they have been set with a personal tone.

Amy,

To change texts, go to Profiles from the home screen, then advanced, then select your current profile. Then look for "SMS Text" which changes the tone for text messages.

When you are on the Advanced screen, you will see at the bottom "Use Active Profile Except for:" and there may be some contacts checked. Those are NOT using the default ringtone. You can uncheck them if you want all calls to have the same ringtone.

Voicemails - I am not sure, I have never seen a setting.
