How do I change the personal assistant?

there is no edit button to the right where it tells me to make changes

to change the modules, click on the thing that's shaped like a gear or a sun in the the right hand corner of the module.  For whatever reason, someone at yahoo thought that conveyed the "edit" concept.  

But the personal assistant generally sucks.  I say go to the feedback and call for the message center to come back

Click the edit module button.  Then, on each of the six mini-modules, you'll see a down arrow on the right.  Click on it and you'll see the choices for the six mini-modules.

However, if you don't like those choices, tough.  And you can't move the personal assistant to another place on you main page, or to another page.  You can, however, delete it.
